What Your Blog Shouldn't Be!

Many times when folks begin their blog, they think that their readers want to hear their expertise! Well, yes, they do. But remember don't go over their heads. Speak to your readers, don't preach at them.

A good blogger will be:
  • (I)nformative - Write about things people may need more information about.
  • (C)onsistent - Write more than once a week.
  • (E)ngaging - Give people a reason to read your blog. Give them a reason to come back.
If you practice ICE with each posting, you will begin a relationship with your readers. Once your have established your relationship, your readers will begin to post their comments and refer their friends to this great resource.

Again, your blog is only as good as the effort you put into it.
